Tangerang - The Tangerang Regency Government (Pemkab) in Banten Province hopes that the change of the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) can open transparency and coordination for the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program in the region.

"What is certain is that transparency, they need information related to beneficiaries, especially for schools, we have prepared the data," said the Secretary of the Tangerang Regency Education Office (Disdik) Agus Supriatna in Tangerang, Wednesday.

He said that openness to information is very important so that local governments can carry out equitable coverage of the MBG Program in remote areas.

According to him, until now, local governments (pemerda) need more open access to information related to the implementation of MBG, especially regarding the data of beneficiaries and the determination of the location of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG).

"It's just that after there is a determination of the point, where it has been served, it must be informed to the local government, so that we can also map, which areas are actually the priority for the MBG point itself," he said.

With the new leadership of BGN, he hopes to strengthen synergy with the local government so that the implementation of MBG runs more effectively, efficiently, and reaches more beneficiaries.

"Moreover, the local government has a MBG Task Force (Satgas) that is ready to support the acceleration of the national program at the regional level," he said.

Previously, President Prabowo Subianto replaced a number of BGN officials, where Dadan Hindayana as Head of BGN was replaced by Nanik S. Deyang who previously served as Deputy Head of BGN.

"Today, Tuesday, June 2, 2026, the President has decided to make a change in the leadership of the BGN," said the Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi, who is also the Spokesperson for the President of the Republic of Indonesia, at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday (2/6).
