JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Regional Operation (Daop) 1 Jakarta recorded the peak of the Iduladha 1447 Hijriah long holiday return on Monday, June 1, with as many as 41,534 passengers arriving at various stations in the Daop 1 Jakarta region.
KAI Jakarta Daop 1 Public Relations Manager Franoto Wibowo said the number of passenger arrivals today was the highest during the long Iduladha and Pancasila Birthday holiday period.
"The peak of the return flow occurred today with the number of arrivals reaching 41,534 customers. Meanwhile, the number of departures was recorded as many as 32,745 customers," said Franoto as quoted by Antara.
Gambir Station became the most crowded arrival point with 15,028 passengers, followed by Pasar Senen Station with 14,066 passengers. Meanwhile, Bekasi Station received 4,946 passengers, Jatinegara Station 4,675 passengers, Cikarang Station 1,404 passengers, Cikampek Station 803 passengers, and Karawang Station 612 passengers.

Franoto said that a number of popular destinations for people during the long Eid al-Adha holiday this year include Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Semarang, Purwokerto, Bandung, and Jember.
"These destination cities have consistently been the favorite destinations of customers during long holidays. Trains remain the main choice of the public because they offer safe, comfortable, on-time, and jam-free travel," he said.
In addition to long-distance train services, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta also noted the high public interest in local train services. The Pangrango train on the Bogor-Sukabumi route has booked 33,125 tickets from a capacity of 33,120 seats available.
Meanwhile, the Siliwangi KA Cipatat-Sukabumi return trip recorded sales of 12,369 tickets from a total capacity of 17,172 seats.
