He said that counter-flow traffic engineering was carried out to anticipate an increase in vehicle volume towards the East Trans Java area during the long holiday period after Eid al-Adha 1447 H, followed by Vesak on May 31 and the Pancasila Birthday holiday on June 1, 2026.
At the discretion of the police, the opposite direction was enforced from KM 55 to KM 65 towards Cikampek on Saturday starting at 09.43 WIB.
"The implementation of contraflow is carried out on a situational basis based on the discretion of the Police to maintain the smooth flow of traffic during this long holiday period to the East of Trans Java," he said.
JTT together with the Police continue to monitor the development of traffic conditions on the ground and will conduct periodic evaluations to adjust to the needs.

He said the JTT appealed to road users to anticipate travel, ensure vehicles are in good condition, sufficient fuel and electronic money balance, and comply with signs and instructions from officers in the field during traffic engineering.
"Road users are expected to remain focused and concentrated while driving and use the Travoy application to obtain real-time traffic information, rest area locations, toll road CCTV, and emergency services to support safe and comfortable travel," he said.
