Hajj Peak, DPR Wanti-wanti Officials: Don't Let Any Pilgrims Be Left Behind in Muzdalifah!

JAKARTA - Member of the 2026 DPR Hajj Supervisory Team (Timwas) from the PKB Faction, Maman Imanul Haq, urged the government to ensure the smooth running of the Hajj transport fleet from Muzdalifah to Mina.

Maman reminded that the transfer route from Muzdalifah to Mina is one of the most dense, vulnerable, and crucial points in the peak of the Hajj (Armuzna).

"Alhamdulillah we are grateful that all Indonesian pilgrims are now confirmed to be in Arafah to participate in the implementation of wukuf. But what is also very crucial is to ensure that all pilgrims from Muzdalifah can be brought to Mina," said Maman in his statement, Tuesday, May 26.

This PKB politician underlined that Muzdalifah is only an open transit location for mabit (staying overnight) with very limited facilities. Delays in transportation or the presence of scattered pilgrims are considered to be fatal for human life due to extreme physical exhaustion.

"The density of millions of people, as well as the heat wave in Saudi Arabia, is a real threat, especially for elderly pilgrims, people with disabilities, and high-risk pilgrims (risti)," he said.

For this reason, officers in the field are required to carry out thorough screening to ensure that no one is left behind, both in Arafah and in Muzdalifah. Especially in Muzdalifah, said Maman, the government must ensure that the bus fleet is able to transport all pilgrims to Mina in a disciplined manner and according to the schedule that has been set.

To minimize the risk of mass fatigue in Muzdalifah, Maman asked for coordination in implementing the murur scheme, namely the movement of the bus of pilgrims across Muzdalifah without getting off and directly heading to Mina must be executed precisely. This mechanism, according to him, must be supported by the accuracy of data on elderly and risti pilgrims so as not to cause confusion in the evacuation route.

"Hajj officers are also required to ensure that pilgrims who enter the murur scheme continue to receive optimal assistance and services, especially in terms of health," he said.

The member of Commission VIII of the DPR emphasized that the success of the implementation of the Hajj summit was not only measured from the smoothness of the ritual of worship alone, but from the ability of officers to ensure the safety and whereabouts of all pilgrims in every stage of the journey. He asked Hajj officers to provide the best service by providing intensive assistance, especially for elderly pilgrims and pilgrims who need special assistance, so that no Indonesian pilgrims are scattered in this crucial phase. "
