JAKARTA - The government through the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is on alert for health posts during the peak of the hajj, especially in Arafah and Mina, in order to ensure that health services can be provided quickly and optimally.

"We have deployed one Indonesian health post each in Arafah and Mina to ensure that health services can be provided quickly and optimally during the Armuzna phase," said Kemenag spokesperson Maria Ulfa Assegaf as reported by ANTARA, Monday, May 25.

Maria explained that as many as 657 Arafah Task Force officers had been deployed at various service points to support the smooth operation.

They consist of ad hoc Arafah officers, headquarters coordinators, consumption supervisors, and other service elements that will ensure that transportation, accommodation, consumption, health, guidance for worship, and protection of pilgrims run optimally.

Maria invites pilgrims to care for each other and help each other during the peak of the hajj.

"If you see a pilgrim who seems confused, exhausted, or separated from the group, please immediately help and report to the nearest officer," he said.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said that Indonesian prospective pilgrims would be gradually sent from their respective hotels to Arafah on Monday, coinciding with 8 Dzulhijjah 1447 Hijriah, to undergo the peak series of the hajj.

The Ministry of Religion reported that the movement of pilgrims to Arafah was carried out in three stages, namely at 07.00, 11.30, and 16.30 Saudi time.

Pilgrims are urged to follow the schedule that has been determined, not to move on their own, not to precede the group, and always obey the instructions of the kloter, sector, and worship guides so that the entire process runs orderly and safely.
