JAKARTA - PDIP politician Kapitra Ampera asked the Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri or other KPK leaders to ignore the summons of Komnas HAM.

This summons is related to the report of 51 KPK employees who were fired because they did not pass the National Insight Test (TWK) and changed their status to ASN.

Because according to Kapitra, the summons is not the authority of Komnas HAM.

“Komnas HAM does not have the right to summon the chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission. The KPK must ignore the summons because it is not within its jurisdiction," Kapitra said in his statement to reporters, Wednesday, June 9.

Based on Law No. 26 of 2000 concerning the Human Rights Court, he continued, Komnas HAM is the institution authorized to investigate gross human rights violations.

Therefore, Kapitra considered it strange if Komnas HAM interfered in the affairs of the KPK TWK.

"The authority of Komnas HAM according to Law No. 26/2000 is only limited to gross human rights violations in the form of crimes against humanity and genocide," said Kapitra.

It is known, Komnas HAM sent a summons to the KPK leadership regarding reports of KPK employees who did not pass the national insight test (TWK) as a condition for becoming a state civil apparatus (ASN) on Tuesday 8 June 2021.
