JAKARTA - A 19-year-old female climber is reported missing after allegedly getting lost while descending Bukit Changkat Asa, Selangor, Malaysia.

Assistant director of the Perak Fire and Rescue Department's operations division, Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, said his team had been deployed to search for the victim who had climbed with five of his friends.

"A girl, Nur Izzati Humaira Azizul, 19, is believed to have got lost while descending the hill during a hike with five friends and family members," he said in a statement on Saturday night, May 23, quoted from Bernama.

He added that the search team, which was deployed after receiving a report of the missing climber, had combed the last location where the victim was seen.

However, the search was temporarily halted at 7 p.m. The Kuala Kubu Bharu Fire and Rescue Service will decide on the search operation the next day.
