SERANG - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) stated that there must be a comprehensive parameter related to the success of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program.
"So, at least it should be designed for the short, medium, and long term, what should be achieved. From our study, it is not visible," said Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring of the KPK Aminudin in a statement quoted in Serang Regency, Banten, Thursday.
Aminudin explained that this was considered necessary after the KPK in 2025 conducted a corruption prevention study in the management of the MBG program.
I said that the KPK in the study found that the MBG program until the end of 2025 was carried out without a comprehensive blueprint, especially related to the output or success of the program.
"What is used as an output is how many MBG recipients there are, even though the president wants it, this MBG program is to overcome malnutrition or people who are malnourished," he said.
In addition, Aminudin said that the success of the MBG program should be related to the prevention of stunting or stunting.
"So, it doesn't feel right when the output is measured by how many people receive Free Nutritious Meals, even though the goal is for people who are malnourished, then stunted, pregnant women, malnourished toddlers, breastfeeding mothers, to have enough and balanced nutrition intake so that they, the current generation of elementary or junior high school students, will become the golden generation in 2045," he said.
According to him, the lack of a comprehensive blueprint has resulted in very weak accountability for the MBG program.
"Accountability for the program is very weak because there is no benchmark for success that can be verified by the public, including by the KPK. That's what we found from the study we did," he said.
Previously, the KPK Monitoring Directorate in 2025 made a study on corruption prevention in the MBG program governance.
The Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Dadan Hindayana on April 21, 2026 conveyed appreciation for the KPK study.
"This is a very important statement to note. We will delve together so that we can close the gaps that have the potential to be weaknesses in the system owned by BGN," said Dadan.
Meanwhile, President Prabowo Subianto on May 20, 2026 revealed that the number of servings per day of MBG had reached 62,454,064 servings. The data is as of May 19, 2026.
"This figure includes 6.3 million toddlers, 2 million breastfeeding mothers, and 868 thousand pregnant women who receive MBG every day," said the President.
