JAKARTA - A joint SAR team managed to evacuate one dead victim in a fire that occurred at Megamall in the Megamas area, Wenang South Village, Wenang District, Manado City.

Nuriadin explained that on Saturday (16/5) at 21.10 WITA, the Manado Search and Rescue Office sent the USS Manado Rescue Team to carry out the initial steps of the evacuation operation for the victims of the fire.
At 00.15 WITA, the victim was found in Room 2 on the 6th floor of the Megamall building and was evacuated in a dead state, then the victim was taken to Bhayangkara Hospital, North Sulawesi Police for further treatment.
After all the search and evacuation processes were completed, at 01.30 WITA the joint SAR Team carried out a debriefing. The SAR operation was then stopped and proposed to be closed.
All SAR elements involved were returned to their respective units accompanied by words of thanks.
