JAKARTA - A man who is an Italian citizen became the target of a sadistic mugging in the Bundaran HI area, Menteng, Central Jakarta. The Motorola Neo 60 brand mobile phone was stolen by the perpetrator.

In fact, the victim fell down because he tried to chase the perpetrator.

The incident began when the victim was playing his cellphone on the side of the road in the Bundaran HI area, Menteng, Central Jakarta.

Then the perpetrator used a motorized motorcycle to approach the victim while monitoring the situation. After the victim was seen distracted, the perpetrator immediately grabbed the victim's cellphone and fled.

The victim tried to chase the perpetrator but in vain. In fact, the victim fell on the asphalt when trying to chase the perpetrator.

The action of seizing the mobile phone occurred in the center of Jakarta, which is often guarded by the police. In fact, a few meters from the scene of the incident there is also a Traffic Police office.

However, street crime often occurs in the Bundaran HI area, Central Jakarta. This incident was also recorded by an amateur camera of a passing car.

Responding to the incident, Head of Public Relations of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Iptu Erlyn Sumantri said the police were still investigating the case.
