Impact of the MRT Project, Transjakarta Stop Kebon Sirih Towards Blok M Temporarily Closed

JAKARTA - PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) temporarily closed the Kebon Sirih Stop in the direction of Blok M or south direction starting Friday, May 15, 2026 evening. The closure was carried out due to road repair work which is part of the Jakarta MRT construction project.

The closure of the bus stop is valid from 22.00 WIB until Monday, May 18, 2026 at 05.00 WIB. During the closure of the south-bound bus stop, customers can still use the Kebon Sirih bus stop in the direction of the city or the north to continue their journey.

Head of the Public Relations and CSR Department of Transjakarta, Ayu Wardhani, said the closure was carried out to support the MRT project, which is currently underway in the area.

"We apologize for the inconvenience experienced by customers. This temporary closure is carried out to support road repair work as part of the Jakarta MRT construction project," said Ayu in his statement, Friday, May 15.

Transjakarta asks customers to adjust their travel routes during the work period. Passengers are also asked to monitor the latest information through the official Transjakarta channel so as not to choose the wrong stop point.

"We urge customers to adjust their travel routes and follow the latest information through the official Transjakarta channel," he said.

MRT project work in a number of points in Jakarta has recently impacted traffic engineering to changes in public transportation services. Temporary bus stops are closed so that the construction and road repair process can run without disturbing the safety of road users and Transjakarta passengers.
