JAKARTA - The General Secretariat (Setjen) of the MPR ensures that it will carry out a thorough evaluation of the implementation of the Four Pillars of the MPR 2026 Smart Competition (LCC) following the controversy over the assessment error in the final round of the West Kalimantan (Kalbar) Province.

The MPR Secretariat conveyed its respect for the public's attention and input regarding the assessment controversy that has been widely discussed on social media.

"Regarding the large number of reports on social media about the LCC Four Pillars 2026 at the West Kalimantan Provincial level regarding the assessment of the answers of participants in one of the competition sessions, the implementing committee from the MPR Central Secretariat is currently conducting an internal investigation," the official statement said.

The MPR emphasized that education and training activities for the younger generation, including the Four Pillars of LCC, must uphold the values of sportsmanship, objectivity, fairness, and a constructive learning spirit.

In this regard, an evaluation will be carried out thoroughly on the technical aspects of the competition, ranging from the assessment mechanism, clarity of the articulation of the participants' answers, the answer verification system, to the governance of objections in the competition.

This step was taken so that similar activities in the future can take place better, transparently, and accountable.

In addition, the MPR also appreciates all participants, accompanying teachers, jury boards, regional committees, and the public who have paid attention to national education through the LCC Four Pillars event.

The MPR Secretariat General emphasized that it was committed to making public input an important evaluation material to maintain the quality of activities and public confidence in the inclusive, educational, and ethical national learning process.

The MPR appealed to all parties to maintain a conducive atmosphere and respect the students who participated in the race. Previously, the West Kalimantan Provincial Four Pillars LCC final brought together three schools, namely SMAN 1 Pontianak, SMAN 1 Sambas, and SMAN 1 Sanggau in Pontianak.

The controversy arose after a video of the race went viral on social media due to alleged errors in the judging session in the question-and-answer session.

Based on the broadcast on the MPRGOID YouTube channel, the controversy began when the jury panel asked a question about the institution whose consideration the DPR must consider in choosing members of the Financial Audit Agency (BPK).

Team C from SMAN 1 Pontianak answered that the BPK members were elected by the DPR by considering the consideration of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) and inaugurated by the President. However, the jury gave a reduction of five points because they considered the answer to be incomplete.

The question was then thrown to another team. Team B from SMAN 1 Sambas gave an answer that was considered the same, but actually got full marks from the jury. The decision was immediately protested by team C who felt their answers were identical to team B's answers.

A debate also took place between participants and the jury. One of the judges, Head of the MPR General Secretariat Assessment Bureau Dyastasita WB, said that the articulation of the answer of the C team was considered unclear so that the DPD was not heard when the answer was given.

Meanwhile, the Head of the MPR Socialization Agency Secretariat, Indri Wahyuni, emphasized that articulation was an important factor in the assessment and the jury council had the right to reduce the value if the answer was judged not to be heard clearly.
