JAKARTA - The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) said the number of climbers who are still being searched for in handling the eruption of Mount Dukono in North Halmahera Regency, North Maluku, has increased to three people. In connection with this incident, 2 foreigners were killed.

The surviving foreign nationals from Singapore consist of T.Y.M.E. (L) aged 30 years, O.S.S. (P) aged 37 years, P.L. (P) aged 33 years, L.H.E.I. (P) aged 31 years, T.J.Y.G. (P) aged 30 years, L.Y.X.V. (P) aged 30 years and L.S.D. (L) aged 29 years.
The surviving Indonesian victims consisted of B.B. (L) aged 24 years, Y. (L) aged 23 years, S. (L) aged 26 years, A. (L) aged 22 years, H. (L) aged 26 years, F.N. (P) aged 27 years, R.I. (P) aged 29 years and S.J. (L) aged 48 years.
The two deceased victims were foreign nationals from Singapore named Timo and Sahnas. However, this information is still awaiting direct verification from the SAR team in the field.
"In the search operation, two survivors, namely RS and JA, also helped the joint SAR team by providing information on the climbing route and the last point of the victim's whereabouts before the emergency situation due to the eruption," said Abdul Muhari.
The emergency handling operation involved BPBD, Basarnas, TNI/Polri, Dukono Volcano Observation Post, medical teams, and local volunteers.
