Brian Yuliarto Says President Prabowo Wants Campus to Help Local Government

Jakarta - Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Mendikti Saintek) Brian Yuliarto conveyed President Prabowo Subianto's desire for campus parties to help the Regional Government (Pemda) solve real problems, such as garbage, cleanliness, city parks, to environmental arrangements.

This was conveyed by Brian to reporters at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Monday, May 4 after meeting with President Prabowo Subianto. The directive, according to Brian, had been conveyed by President Prabowo some time ago and was currently asked to report on its progress.

In accordance with President Prabowo's instructions, campuses will form teams that can assist local governments in finding science-based solutions. According to Brian, the needs of the region are quite broad. Universities with architectural expertise can help arrange the beauty of the city and parks.

The study program of environmental engineering and mechanical engineering can be included in waste handling. Other fields can also be involved according to the problems faced by the region.

Brian said that the team from the campus would be made more structured so that it would be easier to coordinate with the local government.
