JAKARTA - The Singapore Energy Market Authority or EMA has opened a tender for the construction of a combined cycle gas turbine power plant or CCGT that is ready to use hydrogen.

Malay Mail, citing Reuters, reported that the tender was announced by the EMA through a press release on Wednesday, April 29.

This project will be carried out by the private sector. The selected company will build, own, and operate the power plant unit.

One unit is targeted to be operational in 2031. Up to two other units are prepared to be operational in 2032.

Each power plant is estimated to have a minimum capacity of 600 megawatts. If three units are built, the additional capacity will reach at least 1,800 megawatts.
