Satpol PP secures 5 sellers of sapu-sapu fish meat in Jakpus for Siomay traders

JAKARTA - Satpol PP secured five men who sold fish meat on the banks of the Ciliwung River, the Pasar Baru area, Central Jakarta, after receiving reports from residents regarding the suspicious activity.

"We secured it after we received a report from residents who suspected their activities," said the Head of Sawah Besar PP, Central Jakarta, Darwis Silitonga, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, April 24.

Darwis said the five were residents of Cikarang, while all the fish that were successfully caught were immediately cleaned, where the fish's meat, eggs and skin were separated.

According to him, from the confession of the five residents who were secured, the fish meat was sold to Cikarang to the collector for the siomay maker.

"We secured five men who worked and sold fish meat," he said.

Darwis added, while the part of the fish eggs was used as bait for fishing fish and of the five men, only one had an ID card.

The fishermen who sweep the fish, continued Darwis, always look for fish in the location of the river whose water discharge is reduced or is receding.

Currently, he said, all of their catches were immediately seized by Satpol PP officers to be destroyed.

"We all destroy it in the grave. We also ask them not to sell the meat of the fish to be sold as siomay," he added.
