JAKARTA - Lebanese journalist Amal Khalil was killed in an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon on Wednesday local time.

The newspaper where the victim worked, Al-Akhbar, which is based in Beirut, confirmed the death of Amal Khalil as a result of the Israeli military attack.

Rescue teams said the victim's body was found from under the rubble in Al-Tiri City hours after the Israeli attack.
