JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of Commission E of the DKI DPRD from the PSI Faction, Anggara Wicitra Sastroamidjojo, admitted that he received a complaint regarding the difficulty of accessing registration in the DKI Jakarta New Student Admission System (PPBD) for the 2021 academic year.

"I, throughout this morning, received many server down complaints from the registration post and PPDB complaints," Anggara told reporters, Monday, June 7.

In addition, Anggara also received complaints regarding the problem of invalid registration web captcha. Based on observations, one of the causes is the registration period for various levels that are opened at the same time, resulting in errors everywhere.

"I really regret why this is still happening in the implementation of PPDB, even though the same problem has happened before," said Anggara.

According to Anggara, the DKI Provincial Government should have been able to anticipate this and learn from existing experiences. Moreover, Jakarta has a large APBD nominal and should be able to budget for the management of the system properly.

"Supposedly with a large DKI APBD, IT problems can be handled properly. Moreover, the DKI Provincial Government has a Jakarta Smart City and TGUPP, which allows them to provide advice and supervision of PPDB implementation so that the same problem does not repeat itself," he said.

Therefore, Anggara requested that the DKI Provincial Government immediately improve server strengthening and provide IT support personnel who can continue to be on standby for server repairs.

"Don't let Jakarta's children dream of attending a public school just because the DKI Provincial Government does not improve their information technology system," he said.

It is known that many residents have complained about the online system for admitting new students (PPDB) for DKI Jakarta. Since opening from today, online PPDB servers are difficult to access.

One of them is a resident of Rorotan, North Jakarta named Eva. Eva wants to enroll her sister in SMA Negeri 89, East Jakarta through academic achievement.

When you open the ppdb.jakarta.go.id site, the system can still be accessed. Then, Eva fills in the data to create an account for prospective students. When clicking on the application for account creation, the system cannot be accessed.

"Since this morning, the system has been down. Meanwhile, I saw that there were already 12 students who could enroll in SMA 89. If the system is still down like this, I'm afraid my sister won't be able to register at the high school she wants," Eva told VOI.
