BANDUNG - The Bandung City Police arrested six students as suspects in a case of persecution that led to the death of a student at SMAN 5 Bandung Muhammad Fahdly Arjasubrata on Jalan Cihampelas, Bandung City.

"We have identified six suspects who are suspected of being perpetrators related to the death of the underage victim," said Head of the Bandung Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKBP Anton, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 21.

Anton said all the perpetrators were high school students and because they were still minors, the handling was done with the accompaniment of children facing the law.

"We are also coordinating with related parties, with the Regional Child Protection Commission, then with the Social Service and then with the Correctional Institution to provide assistance and examination to the perpetrators," he said.

Meanwhile, the Acting Head of School of SMAN 5 Bandung Agus Ferdiana handed over the handling of the case of alleged beating that killed his student, Muhammad Fahdly Arjasubrata to the police.

"Respect the process of the police who are currently working to uncover the facts," he said.

He appealed to all parties to be wise and restrain themselves and not spread speculation or visual content related to the incident.

According to him, the school also fully supports the police's steps in uncovering the actual facts professionally.
