DPRD Chair's 530 Retreat Ends, Emphasizes Center-District Synchronization

MAGELANG - The retreat of the Regional Leadership Development Course (KPPD) for the heads of the provincial, district, and city DPRD throughout Indonesia, which lasted for 5 days at the Military Academy (Akmil), Magelang, Central Java, was officially closed, Sunday, April 19.

This activity, which has been held since April 15, 2026, emphasizes the importance of policy coordination between the central and regional governments in supporting the national development agenda, in accordance with the Presidential Agenda of Prabowo Subianto.

Governor of Lemhannas Ace Hasan Syadzily said that all series of activities went smoothly, orderly, and according to expectations. He assessed that this retreat provided a significant refreshment for the leaders of the DPRD regarding national values, the history of the nation's struggle, and global geopolitical dynamics.

"Participants also get a direct understanding of the direction of the central government's strategic policies, including those delivered by President Prabowo Subianto and ministers related to strategic sectors," said Ace after closing the retreat of the DPRD chairman.

According to him, this forum is an important momentum to strengthen the integrity of regional leaders, including through the materials presented by the heads of state institutions such as the KPK and the TNI. This is considered crucial in ensuring law enforcement and the success of national priority programs.

Ace emphasized that the results of this course are expected to be able to encourage the alignment between central and regional policies as one unit within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).

"Regional policies must be in line with central policies, without neglecting the needs of local communities. The role of the DPRD chairman is very strategic because it is in a decision-making position," he said.

He added that the synergy was the key to realizing the vision of Indonesia's Gold 2045 through the Asta Cita national development strategy. According to him, differences in political and regional backgrounds should not hinder the greater interest, namely the progress of the nation and state.

The KPPD retreat was attended by 530 provincial, district and city DPRD chairmen. They are compact in one mission to support national development. Meanwhile, for the other 27 participants who could not attend, Lemhannas also facilitated similar activities in the future.

The Head of the Temanggung Regency DPRD, Yunianto, stated that the five-day activity provided many benefits for participants.

"We have gained many positive things, ranging from strengthening the insight of the archipelago, leadership, to discipline," said Yunianto.

He assessed that collaboration between the central government, regions, and all elements of society is an important factor in supporting the Indonesia Gold 2045 target. According to him, the implementation of the results of the retreat will be adjusted to the financial capacity and potential of each region.

"We in the region will certainly follow up on the materials obtained by adjusting the local conditions, including strengthening the role of all elements of the government down to the village level," he said.

The closure of this retreat marks the joint commitment of the DPRD leaders to strengthen cross-level coordination of the government, as well as ensuring that the direction of national development is in line with the region in order to realize Indonesia's Gold 2045.
