Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Immediately Executes Illegal Mining Business Permits According to President Prabowo's Order

Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto last week instructed the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia to take action on problematic mining business permits (IUP), especially those in forest areas.

After meeting President Prabowo at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Thursday, April 16, Bahlil said he had reported the matter to the President.

According to him, the results of the evaluation were submitted according to the deadline set, namely one week, as directed by Prabowo in the Red and White Cabinet Member Government Working Meeting on April 8.

Bahlil continued that the action against the problematic IUP was a serious concern for the government, considering that the activity was in areas that should be protected, such as protected forests, conservation forests, to nature reserves.
