Following up on the information, the police conducted an investigation and on October 9, 2025 at around 22.30 WIB, they secured a Toyota Innova Reborn car driven by Alung in the parking area of Bayung Lencir Hospital, South Sumatra.

"From the results of the search, officers found two suitcases in the back of the vehicle. The green suitcase contained 33 large packages suspected of being methamphetamine, while the blue suitcase contained 25 large packages suspected of being methamphetamine with Chinese tea packaging," said Krisno.

Krisno said that in the development of the case, two other suspects with initials JA and APR had undergone the trial process.

During the operation, officers also secured five other people who were inside a silver Suzuki Grand Vitara car with the police number BH 1763 UM.

"The disclosure of this case began with a report from residents on April 11, 2026, which mentioned Alung's presence in the Mudo Village area, Muara Papalik District, West Tanjung Jabung Regency," said Krisno.

According to him, after monitoring, the police received information again on Wednesday evening, April 15, 2026, that the target would move towards the Tungkal Ilir area. The team then carried out a pursuit until finally carrying out an ambush.

"When the vehicle was stopped, officers found six people in the car, including the main DPO M Alung Ramadhan," said Krisno.

The other five people who were also secured, including R bin H (41), B bin MD, MFM bin R, Rd M bin Rd M, and A bin M. All of them were taken to Mapolda Jambi for further examination.

In this arrest, the police also confiscated one unit of a Suzuki Grand Vitara car, one unit of an Oppo brand mobile phone, cash Rp. 1,729,500, as well as a number of personal items such as wallets, watches, jackets, shoulder bags, electric suction devices, and other equipment.
