Motorcyclist from Bekasi Died After Being Hit by PO Berlian Jaya Bus in Kebun Jeruk

JAKARTA - A Yamaha motorcycle rider with the license plate B 5680 TKJ was found dead after being hit by a PO Berlian Jaya bus with the license plate B 7721 DD on Jalan Daan Mogot near the Pesing flyover, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, Thursday, April 16, 2026, morning.

Later it was found out that the victim was named Fahmi Maulana (25) a resident of Jalan Karimun Jaya VI, RT 05/13, Aren Jaya Village, Bekasi City. The victim died on the spot due to the fatal accident.

"The victim was injured in the head and died at the scene. He was taken to the Tangerang Regency Hospital for a visum et repertum," said Kanit Laka Lantas of the West Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Joko Siswanto when confirmed by VOI.

AKP Joko explained that the incident occurred on Thursday morning at around 06.30 WIB. The incident began when the Yamaha motorcycle driven by the victim was traveling from East to West on Jalan Daan Mogot, Kebun Jeruk, West Jakarta.

"When he arrived near the Pesing flyover, he was about to overtake the PO Berlian Jaya bus, he hit the front right side of the bus. The victim fell and was hit by the bus," he said.

In addition to killing the victim, the victim's motorcycle was also found to be severely damaged due to the fatal accident.

"The cause of the accident is still under investigation," he said.

The police are also still asking for information from a number of witnesses related to the accident. In addition, the police are still looking for CCTV footage around the crime scene to get an overview of the cause of the fatal accident.
