KUDUS - The Kudus Regency Government, Central Java, estimates the value of the Wergu Wetan Stadium building at IDR 969.34 million to be auctioned to the private sector for demolition. This step is part of the plan to build a new stadium that is more magnificent with a capacity of 8,000 spectators.

Head of the Regional Revenue, Finance and Asset Management Agency of Kudus Regency, Djati Solechah, said that the value was the result of the assessment of the Semarang Public Appraisal Service Office (KJPP).

"Based on the results of the assessment by the Semarang KJPP, the value of the stadium building is around Rp969.34 million because there are a number of valuable items that can be reused from the building," he said in Kudus, Antara, Wednesday, April 15.

He explained that the results of the assessment would be the basis for the auction of the Wergu Wetan Stadium building to be removed from regional assets.

The central government, he continued, has approved the construction of a stadium with Asian Football Confederation (AFC) standards with a capacity of around 8,000 spectators.

Currently, the local government is preparing the administrative completeness so that the auction process can be carried out immediately in an open manner.

In the auction process, the Kudus Regency Regional Revenue, Finance and Asset Management Agency cooperates with the Semarang State Property and Auction Office (KPKNL).

Djati hopes that the auction process can begin this month so that the demolition of the old stadium can be carried out immediately.

Meanwhile, based on information from the Kudus Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Office, the plan to renovate the Wergu Wetan Stadium is still in the planning stage, which is targeted to be completed in April to May.

After the planning phase is completed, the auction process for construction by the central government is expected to begin in June. In the same period, the Kudus Regency Government is expected to start conducting further appraisals as well as demolishing the old stadium.

The construction of the new stadium is estimated to start in July to August and is planned to take place in multiple years.
