IDR 497 T of Investment Entered Indonesia from January to March 2026

Jakarta - Indonesia managed to attract investments of Rp497 trillion in the period from January to March 2026. This was conveyed by the Minister of Investment and Industrialization/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Roeslani in a working meeting with Commission XII of the DPR RI in Jakarta, Monday, April 13.

According to Rosan, the Investment and Industrialization Ministry/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) recorded that the realization of investment entering Indonesia in the first quarter of 2026 is projected to reach IDR 497 trillion or an increase of 6.9 percent compared to the same period last year.

This is a positive achievement in the midst of global dynamics. Rosan said he was still waiting until April 15 for the exact calculation of investment realization. Investment realization of Rp. 497 trillion in the first quarter of 2026 created around 627 thousand new jobs.

For comparison, the realization of investment in the first quarter of 2025 amounted to IDR 465 trillion with the absorption of 594 thousand workers. Rosan added that the government's accelerated downstream program was one of the main contributors to the high realization of investment.

Investment in the basic metal industry in January-March 2026 reached IDR 67 trillion, the largest among other fields. Followed by transportation, warehouses, and logistics of IDR 54 trillion. Then mining IDR 51 trillion, other services (data centers and others) IDR 43 trillion, housing and areas IDR 36 trillion. The city of Jakarta is the largest investment destination with a realization of IDR 74 trillion, then West Java IDR 72 trillion, East Java IDR 38 trillion, Central Sulawesi IDR 34 trillion, Banten IDR 33 trillion.

Singapore, China, Japan, South Korea, and the United States (US) are still the largest countries for foreign investment in Indonesia in January-March 2026.
