Cimahi Police Chief AKBP Niko Nurallah Adi Putra said that the perpetrator who took away the minor had been secured on Monday, April 13 at night.

He explained that the victim was reported missing by his parents since April 8, 2026 with the victim's last trace recorded on a surveillance camera (CCTV) around his school.

In the footage that had circulated widely on social media, the victim was seen getting into a Toyota Agya car with the police number D-1544-UAT with two men.

Based on the footage, the police conducted an investigation by examining a number of witnesses and tracing the vehicles used.

"Then we found them in the Bandung City area, specifically in a mosque inside the school," he said.

Niko said that at this time his party was still investigating the motives of the perpetrator, who was also under the age of 18, while the victim had been picked up by his parents in a safe condition.

"The testimony of the perpetrator who is still a minor continues to be investigated. Regarding the perpetrator, we ensure that so far there is only one person. As for the adults who were with the victim and the perpetrator, it was the driver of the online motorcycle taxi," he said.
