Don't Forget the Umbrella! Jakarta Has the Potential to Rain This Afternoon

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency predicts that the weather in the Jakarta area on Monday, April 13, will be dominated by thick clouds from early morning to late afternoon.

Entering the afternoon, the weather conditions in a number of areas such as Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, and West Jakarta are expected to gradually change to cloudy.

In the afternoon and evening, light-intensity rain is likely to rain on most of Jakarta. Meanwhile, the Thousand Islands region is predicted to experience rain accompanied by lightning in the early morning.

For air temperature, Jakarta today is estimated to be in the range of 24 to 32 degrees Celsius with a high relative humidity level, which has the potential to trigger the formation of rain clouds during the day and night.

BMKG also reminded that the April period is still a transitional season, so the weather tends to be dynamic with the potential for light to moderate rain in the DKI Jakarta area and its surroundings.

The public is urged to remain vigilant about weather changes and to bring supporting equipment such as umbrellas or raincoats, especially when they are outside.
