JAKARTA - PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) ensures that electricity supply in all areas of Jakarta has returned to normal after experiencing an interruption on Thursday evening.
"Alhamdulillahsudah nyala semua per jam 20.00 WIB," kata Senior Manager Komunikasi dan Umum PLN UID Jakarta Raya, Haris Andika, dilansir ANTARA, Kamis, 9 April.
The disruption previously occurred in a number of areas due to constraints on several Substations (GI).
Haris said that the process of restoring electricity had been completed in stages.
Previously, power outages were reported in several points in Jakarta, including the Angke area and its surroundings.
PLN said the disruption was sourced from the system at a number of Substations, which caused the temporary interruption of electricity supply in the affected areas.
"There is a disruption in the supply of electricity in several areas of Jakarta which is sourced from several substations," said Haris.
Following up on this condition, PLN immediately moved quickly to normalize by deploying officers in the field.
The recovery process is carried out gradually to ensure that the electricity system is stable and safe before being distributed to customers.
"The disruption is sourced from the electricity system in several main substations which has an impact on the distribution network in a number of areas," said Haris.
PLN also ensures that all affected customers have now returned to enjoying normal electricity services. However, the company continues to monitor to anticipate potential further disruptions.
To make it easier for the public to get the latest information regarding electricity services, PLN urges customers to use the PLN Mobile application or contact the PLN Contact Center 123.
The power disruption also had an impact on the operation of the MRT Jakarta. The mass transportation service said there was an operational disruption at several stations on Thursday afternoon at 17.57 WIB due to a power supply problem from the PLN side (CSW).
"This operational disruption is caused by power supply constraints from the PLN (CSW) side which resulted in some station facilities, such as lighting, elevators, escalators, and several other facilities experiencing disruptions," said Head of the Corporate Secretary Division of PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda), Rendy Primartantyo in his statement in Jakarta, Thursday.
Rendy said all elevated stations had experienced total power outages, but now they have been successfully restored.
