SEMARANG - Central Java Police (Polda Jateng) is handling a case of alleged illegal recording of two female police officers (Polwan) in the bathroom of the State Police School (SPN). This case went viral on social media and became the public's concern.

The matter began with an internal report filed in September 2025 by Brigadier SP against his colleague, Briptu BTS, who was serving at the Central Java Police SPN.

In the report it was stated that Briptu BTS allegedly recorded two female police officers while they were in the dormitory bathroom. The recording then circulated widely on social media until it sparked public attention.

Head of Public Relations of Central Java Police, Kombes Pol Artanto, said the Profession and Security Division (Propam) had conducted a thorough investigation into the case.

"The alleged perpetrator is still undergoing daily activities under the supervision of Propam. The motive will be clear at the code of ethics hearing," said Artanto, Wednesday, April 8.

Currently, the process of closing the case is underway. The BTS Briptu is scheduled to undergo an ethics code hearing at the Central Java Police in the near future.

Artanto emphasized that sanctions against the alleged perpetrators would be determined based on the results of the ethics hearing. The punishment imposed can vary according to the level of violation.

"The sanctions range from special placement, demotion, postponement of promotion, to the most severe dismissal without honor (PTDH)," he explained.

Central Java Police ensured that the handling of this case was carried out professionally and transparently, in order to maintain the integrity of the institution and public confidence.

This case is also a reminder of the importance of maintaining the ethics and professionalism of the apparatus, especially in respecting the privacy and rights of fellow members.
