IRGC Intelligence Chief Killed, Mojtaba Khamenei Asserts Iran's Military Remains Undaunted

JAKARTA - The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, said the killing of high-ranking Iranian commanders would not hinder the Iranian armed forces' operations against aggression.

Khamenei said this in his condolences for the death of the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence Organization, Major General Seyed Majid Khademi, in an attack carried out by the US and Israel.

"The ranks of the fighters and those who fight in the path of truth in Islamic Iran, and the self-sacrificing armed forces, are so vast and solid that murder and crime cannot create any disturbance in their ideals of struggle," he said, quoted by NBC News, Tuesday, April 7.

Khamenei said the late Major General Majid Khademi was part of "the ranks of steadfast fighters and soldiers."

The US-Israel uses the "decapitation" strategy in the war against Iran. As a result, a long list of Iranian commanders and high-ranking leaders were killed, including Khamenei's father, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

However, due to the efforts of the US-Israel, Khamenei stressed that the Iranian armed forces would not be intimidated.
