JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that most of Indonesia will experience rain with varying intensities, ranging from light rain to rain accompanied by lightning on Monday, April 6.

Moderate intensity rain is predicted to hit a number of areas, namely Medan, North Sumatra; Yogyakarta; and Tanjung Selor, North Kalimantan.
Moderate rain is also potentially occurring in Palu, Central Sulawesi; Mamuju, West Sulawesi; and Merauke, South Papua.
BMKG also warned of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning in several areas, such as Bengkulu; Pangkal Pinang, Bangka Belitung Islands; Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan; Denpasar, Bali; and Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara.
Sunny to cloudy conditions are expected to occur in Manado, North Sulawesi; Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara; and Ternate, North Maluku.
BMKG urges the public to remain vigilant against the potential for extreme weather.
