Damkar's car in Agam has not arrived at the Mogok fire location, the Regency Government evaluates the fleet system.

JAKARTA - The Agam Regency Government (Pemkab) in West Sumatra, admitted that it would evaluate the system and fleet related to the fire truck (damkar) that ran out of fuel oil (BBM) before reaching the fire location in Suak, Koto Gadang Anan Koto Village, Tanjung Raya District, Thursday, April 2 afternoon.

"We will evaluate the system and fleet at the Damkar Agam Satpol PP as soon as possible so that this case does not happen again," said Agam Regional Secretary Muhammad Lutfi AR in Lubuk Basung, Friday, quoted by Antara.

He said that the fire brigade (Damkar) owned by the Police Pamong Praja Unit and Fire Department (Satpol PP Damkar) Agam in the western region had five units and one unit was damaged after an accident.

When the fire occurred, he said, his party had reported the fire incident to the house belonging to Ayani (64) a resident in Suak, Jorong Ateh, Koto Gadang Village, Tanjung Raya District to the Head of the Damkar Agam Satpol PP.

Receiving the report, said Lutfi, the Damkar Agam Satpol PP sent two units of the fleet to the location of the fire.

However, on the way, the vehicle ran out of fuel because in Lubuk Basung there was a shortage of fuel after the contract of one of the Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU) in Lubuk Basung expired with PT Pertamina since Thursday, March 26.

"We have coordinated with the gas station and PT Pertamina regarding the problem. Until now we have not received any developments," he said.

He added that the fire caused the victim's house to burn down, including the victim's two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles.

The victim on behalf of Ayani also suffered burns to the legs and is being treated at the Lubuk Basung Regional General Hospital (RSUD).

"I have examined the victim who is being treated at the Lubuk Basung Hospital, Thursday (2 April) evening," he said.

One of the residents of Nagari Koto Gadang, Suhardiman, regretted the actions taken by the Damkar Agam Satpol PP.

For this reason, he also hopes that the parties concerned will evaluate the performance carried out.

"We are very sorry that there were victims of the fire and ask that the performance of the Satpol PP and Damkar Agam be evaluated," he said.
