JAKARTA - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has brought home investment commitments worth a total of Rp575 trillion from a state working visit to Japan and South Korea.

Prabowo arrived in the country with a group and landed at the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, Thursday, April 4, early morning. His arrival was greeted by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Secretary of State Minister Prasetyo Hadi, TNI Commander Agus Subiyanto, National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and BIN Head Muhammad Herindra.

During his stay in Japan, Prabowo carried out a number of important agendas, including a meeting with the Emperor of Japan and a bilateral meeting with the Japanese Prime Minister. The visit then continued to South Korea. Prabowo held a bilateral meeting with President Lee Jae Myung at the Cheong Wa Dae Presidential Palace (Blue House).

During the meeting, the two leaders agreed to expand cooperation in various strategic sectors to strengthen bilateral relations. Prabowo also witnessed the announcement and exchange of 10 memorandums of understanding (MoU) covering the economic, digital, energy, and future industry sectors.

The value of business commitments from South Korea reached 10.2 billion US dollars or equivalent to Rp174 trillion.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said the total commitment from both countries reached 33.89 billion US dollars.

"So the total amount reaches USD 33.89 billion or around Rp. 575 trillion," Teddy said in a statement, Thursday, April 2.

The government will then monitor the realization of all these commitments in order to provide a real impact on national economic growth, including job creation and improving people's welfare.
