JAKARTA - The traffic flow passing through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (Cikatama) Karawang, West Java, recorded a spike in the return flow of H+6 Lebaran 2026.

Corporate Secretary & Legal PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo said on Friday (27/3) that traffic flow on the Cikatama GT towards Jakarta was observed to have the highest spike of 5,900 vehicles in the afternoon.

"We see that the hourly traffic at 4-5 pm has reached 5,900. That is the highest hourly traffic for today, so it is seen that there is a spike in density in front of the gates," said Ria, when meeting the media at the Jasamarga GT Cikatama Office, Friday, 27 March. reported by ANTARA.

Previously, the National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas) had implemented a one-way traffic engineering or one-way precision stage 2 from KM 263 Pejagan Toll to KM 70 Cikampek Utama Toll, which was then balanced with contraflow from KM 70 to KM 47 towards Jakarta.

The implementation of traffic engineering in Jakarta-Cikampek will continue to be adjusted to the conditions on the ground, such as the preparation for the implementation of contraflow from the previous one lane, to two lanes at several points.

Ria also conveyed that the surge in vehicle volume in GT Cikatama towards Jakarta was in line with road users taking advantage of the 30 percent toll rate discount that was given for continuous travel from GT Kalikangkung Road to Batang-Semarang Toll Road to GT Cikampek Utama Road to Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road on March 26-27.

In this case, Jasamarga also appreciates the participation of the public who take advantage of toll rate discounts. The enthusiasm of road users can be seen from the increase in the number of vehicles on Friday from morning to afternoon.

"We appreciate the extraordinary road users for being able to take advantage of the 30 percent toll rate reduction. It is seen that the shift 1 has reached 26,000, and by 6 p.m. it has 54,000 vehicles, not (including) shift 3. Indeed, the spike is quite high for today," he said.

Ria explained that the flow of vehicles on the Cikatama GT to Palimanan had a queue density, on Friday (27/3) afternoon in line with the implementation of traffic engineering of one way from KM 263 to KM 70 and contraflow from KM 70 to KM 47 which had an impact on the reduction of lanes in that direction.

"Indeed, the route used by road users from Jakarta to East Trans Java has become less. We are making adjustments at GT Cikatama. At KM 72, road users will be issued to Cikopo," he explained.
