Cianjur Police Carry Out One-Way System Faster on H+4 Lebaran

Cianjur - The Cianjur Police, West Java, carried out a one-way system faster to Bogor from Puncak-Cianjur on H+4 Lebaran 2026, in order to anticipate long queues of vehicles, especially on the Puncak route.

Cianjur Police Chief Inspector General AKP Aang Andi Suhandi said that entering H+4 Eid, the volume of vehicles for pilgrims with the goal of returning who pass through the main Cianjur route is still high, leading from Cianjur to Puncak-Bogor.

Vehicle queues with a slow rate are visible at vulnerable points such as the Pacet-Cipanas Highway, Cipanas Market, Cibodas and Hanjawar intersections to Puncak Pass, along with the high number of tourist visits to tourist destinations in the region.

In order to anticipate traffic jams along the route, officers carried out various anticipatory efforts ranging from blocking to imposing a one-way system when there was a queue of vehicles with a continuous stop rate.

"The vehicle queue occurred due to the increasing volume of returning vehicle passengers, especially in the Bogor jurisdiction with the tail of the queue approaching Puncak Pass-Cianjur, so that the one-way system was implemented faster," he said in Cianjur, Antara, Tuesday, March 24.

This was done to anticipate the long queues that had occurred on H+3 Eid, where the tail of the queue reached 18 kilometers, so that his party had to close the path to the Peak from the Tugu Lampu Gentur-Cianjur.

One-way systems are implemented on a situational basis when the queue melts, the lane will be opened normally from both directions, but on H+4 Eid, his party appealed to motorists with the goal of returning to their hometowns such as Jabodetabek and Banten to cross the alternative lane.

"We ask travelers who want to return to their hometowns to avoid the Puncak route because it is predicted that it will happen again because throughout the morning the volume of tourist vehicles with the destination Puncak-Cipanas is quite high," he said.

His party has taken various ways to ensure traffic flow along the main Cianjur route, by implementing a number of flow engineering from the Bandung-Cianjur Highway to the Puncak Pass area so that there is no total traffic jam.

"The one-way system is situational when the queue melts and the lane is reopened normally, when it is again crowded, the one-way system is again enforced," he said.
