OGAN KOMERING ULU TIMUR - The East Ogan Komering Ulu Police, South Sumatra, are investigating a hit-and-run case on the Komering Cross Road, Rasuan Village, Madang Suku I District, which resulted in two travelers dying on the spot.

He said the accident was caused by a black Yamaha R15 motorcycle with the number BN 3575 WD which was driven by Sugiono (22), a resident of Labuhan Permai Village, Way Serdang District, Mesuji Regency, Lampung, traveling from Cempaka to Kota Negara, OKUT Timur Regency.

Allegedly driving at high speed, the vehicle crossed a potholed straight road and lost control.

Sugionoyang was riding with his wife, TyasYuniaSari (20) and his child, a toddler named NavizAlFarobi (2), his vehicle hit a hole until it fell and was hit by another vehicle from the opposite direction.

"As a result, the vehicle driven by the victim was swaying and the two passengers who were riding were thrown onto the road," he said.

At the same time, a car from the opposite direction passed through the unknown identity, which hit the two victims who fell on the right lane, before finally fleeing the scene.

As a result of the accident, TyasYuniaSari suffered serious injuries to the head, temples, chin, and broken lower jaw and died on the spot.

Meanwhile, the victim's son, Naviz Al Farobim, suffered fatal injuries to the head and was also declared dead.

"Sugionodi is reported to be safe without injuries," he said.

Currently, his party is still investigating the identity of the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run.

He also appealed to the public who knew or saw the incident directly to immediately report to the police to make it easier to reveal the identity of the perpetrator.

"Currently, the Yamaha R15 motorcycle involved in the accident has been secured in the warehouse of the Gakkum Satlantas Unit of the OKUT Timur Police as evidence," he said.
