JAKARTA - The new warship of the Indonesian Navy, the Republic of Indonesia Warship (KRI) Prabu Siliwangi-321, has arrived in Indonesia.

The ship was found in Indonesian waters after it had sailed from Italy some time ago.

"Yes, the KRI Prabu Siliwangi-321 has arrived in the country, it is currently resting at Panjang Pier, Lampung for refuelling," said the Head of the Indonesian Navy Public Information Service (Kadispenal) Admiral TNI Tunggul as reported by ANTARA, Monday, March 23.

Tunggul continued, the KRI will depart from Lampung to Jakarta on Thursday (26/3) to attend the ship's welcoming ceremony.

"Preparation for the welcoming event in Jakarta on March 26, 2026, which will later strengthen the ranks of the Indonesian Republic Fleet Command," explained Tunggul.

The Indonesian Navy received the KRI Prabu Siliwangi-321 which had just completed its construction by the Italian shipyard, Fincantieri.

The handover was attended directly by the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy (KSAL) Admiral TNI Muhammad Ali at the Fincantieri shipyard, Muggiano, Italy on December 22, 2025.

This KRI has the same specifications as the KRI Brawijaya-321 which was previously produced by Fincantieri for the Indonesian Navy and has been in Koarmada II for the past few months.

KRI Prabu Siliwangi-321 is the largest and most advanced warship owned by Indonesia today. This ship is equipped with modern technology, advanced weapon systems, and has high combat and maneuver capabilities.

The presence of KRI Prabu Siliwangi-321 is part of the TNI AL's efforts to modernize alutsista to maintain the Indonesian maritime territory.
