One RT in Jagakarsa Flooded After Heavy Rain

JAKARTA - Flooding inundated one RT in Jagakarsa Village, South Jakarta, and the Bogor Highway section, Central Village, East Jakarta, on Saturday night.

Head of the Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Data and Information Center, Mohamad Yohan, said that as of 21.00 WIB, the flood in Jagakarsa was submerged to a height of 25 centimeters.

"The cause is high rainfall and the overflow of the Lenggong River," said Yohan as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, March 21.

Meanwhile, on Jalan Raya Bogor, Central Village, East Jakarta, the flood submerged up to 30 centimeters.

The DKI BPBD also deployed personnel to monitor the condition of the puddles in each area and coordinate the elements of the Water Resources Agency, the Road Construction Agency, the Gulkarmat Agency to carry out the suction of puddles.

In addition, his party also ensured that the water ropes functioned well together with the local lurah and camat and prepared basic needs for survivors.

"The puddles are targeted to recede in a short time," said Yohan.

His party appealed to the public to remain cautious and vigilant against the potential of flooding.
