Police Urges Id Salat Pilgrims at Istiqlal Not to Follow Illegal Parkers

JAKARTA - Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Komarudin reminded people who will pray Eid al-Fitr at the Istiqlal Mosque to follow the instructions of officers in the field. Don't let them park in places that shouldn't be like the instructions of illegal parking attendants.

This was conveyed by Komarudin who initially touched on the phenomenon of congestion on the road section around the Istiqlal Mosque ahead of Eid al-Fitr prayers.

"Usually this is also a phenomenon that happens almost every year, the Juanda Road is filled with parking for pilgrims who will perform prayers at Istiqlal," Komarudin told reporters in Jakarta, Friday, March 20.

So, the public is asked to follow the police's advice around the location.

"We also appeal not to follow the instructions that are usually given by illegal parking attendants, which usually will only create obstructions or problems on the road," said Komarudin.

"We will deploy our officers. Follow the instructions and directions of our officers in the field," he continued.

The Eid al-Fitr prayer at the Istiqlal Mosque will be held from 07.00 WIB until it is completed. The theme is "Victory of Eid al-Fitr to Sow Goodness, Achieve Blessings".

President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka are scheduled to attend the Eid al-Fitr prayers.
