JAKARTA - The government is preparing a series of steps to deal with the spike in oil prices and the impact of the war, without raising fuel prices. Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto said President Prabowo Subianto's direction was clear. After the meeting at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Thursday, March 19, Airlangga said the state budget deficit was still maintained below 3 percent through efficiency in various ministries and institutions.

At the same time, the government is also preparing additional state revenues. One of them is by encouraging an increase in coal production volume, RKAB improvements, and studies on coal export taxes so that the country will also get additional benefits from the price surge.

Airlangga also said the President asked that diesel power plants be immediately calculated to be converted into solar power. Andantara was given the task of helping to solve the PLTD problem.

Another step that is being prepared is work flexibility through WFH one day in five working days. This scheme is not only prepared for ASN, but is also expected to apply to the private sector and local governments.

Regarding the discussion of cutting the salaries of the DPR and ministers, Airlangga said it had not been discussed.
