Iran Wants to Kick the US in the Middle East, Ali Larijani Quotes a Hadith to Invite Muslim Countries to Unite

JAKARTA - The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Ali Larijani, quoted a hadith of the Prophet Muhammad SAW who reminded the sense of responsibility of Muslims to unite.

This was conveyed by Larijani in his message to Muslim-majority countries regarding Iran's position on the aggression carried out by Israel-US.

"Isn't the attitude of certain Islamic governments contrary to the Prophet's [Muhammad] saying: 'Whoever hears someone cry, 'O Muslims!' and fails to answer him, then he is not a Muslim?'" Larijani said on Tuesday, March 17 WIB, quoted from Al Jazeera.

Larijani stressed that Iran would not surrender in the war against the US and Israel. He described the US-Israeli attack on Iran as a blatant aggression against their country's sovereignty.

He then justified Iran's retaliatory attacks against its neighbors that have Western military bases, including US-Israeli assets that could potentially be used to attack Iran.

"Whose side are you on?" asked Larijani.

"The unity of the Islamic nation, if realized with full strength, is able to guarantee security, progress, and independence for all its countries," he continued.

The message seems to confirm that the presence of US military in the Middle East should be replaced by regional cooperation to ensure mutual security.

Larijani's argument comes as Iranian missiles and drones continue to fly across the territory of neighboring countries that host US military bases but claim not to be involved in the war against Iran.
