Transjabodetabek route Blok M - Soekarno-Hatta Airport (SH2)

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung inaugurated the Transjabodetabek service on the Blok M-Soekarno-Hatta Airport (SH2) route. The new route to the airport does not have a stop at Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and Terminal 3.

The Transjabodetabek S2 route includes Blok M Line 6 - Senayan Roundabout 2 - FX Sudirman - Gelora Bung Karno 2 - DPR / MPR 1 - DPR / MPR 2 - Sbr. Sowan Wisata Belanja - Jl. Cengkareng Golf Club 1 - Sewarna Foodhall 1 - Jl. Cengkareng Golf Club 3 - Terminal Kargo 1 - Terminal Kargo 2 - Kantor Soekarno-Hatta.

Meanwhile, the reverse route, Soekarno-Hatta Airport - Block M, includes Soekarno-Hatta Office - Airport Train Station - SHIA Immigration - Cargo Roundabout - Mother Pertiwi School - Swadaya Slipi - BPK Research Library - Sbr. DPR/MPR 1 - Bung Karno 1 - Summitmas - Senayan Roundabout 1 - Block M Line 6.

Thus, passengers of Transjabodetabek who will go to Terminal 1, 2, and 3 will only stop at the Airport Railway Station and continue their journey or transit to the terminal using the sky train for free.

Pramono explained that the estimated journey of the Transjabodetabek SH2 took 121 minutes with a track length of 65.1 kilometers. In total, there were 13 stopping points (bus stops) in Jakarta and 10 points outside Jakarta.

"The number of buses that will be operated is 14 buses, starting from 05.00 to 22.00 WIB so that the waiting time is between 10 to 20 minutes," said Pramono at the inauguration of the route at Blok M Terminal Line 6, Melawai, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Thursday, March 12.

Transjabodetabek SH2 operates with a low deck bus model that is commonly used on non-corridor routes. Inside the bus, there is also an area to put several passenger suitcases.

"In the bus itself there is a place to put suitcases, although if people travel with many suitcases, not all suitcases will be able to get their own place, so there are some suitcases that will later be with passengers, that is the consequence," said Pramono.

For the initial stage, the tariff for this service is set at Rp. 3,500. The tariff is valid for the next three months, including in the period leading up to Eid al-Fitr.

"For the next three months, especially in order to welcome Idulfitri, the fixed tariff is set at Rp3,500. After three months, we will conduct an evaluation because the operational burden and subsidies that must be borne are quite large. After the evaluation period, the tariff will be adjusted to a range of Rp10,000 to Rp15,000," he explained.

Currently, the journey from Blok M to Soekarno-Hatta Airport is also served by a number of other modes of transportation. Among them are DAMRI shuttles with a fare of around Rp80,000, Blue Bird taxis with a fixed fare of around Rp217,000 outside the toll fee, as well as online transportation services such as GoCar and Grab which range from Rp127,500 to Rp155,500.

Through this Transjabodetabek SH2 service, the DKI Provincial Government targets around 1,900 to 2,000 passengers to be served every day.

"We estimate that with 14 fleets, it will likely serve between 1,900 to 2,000 passengers, as when we targeted the Transjabodetabek Blok M - Bogor route, which was planned for 2,000, now on holidays it is more than 8,500, even the average is already above 7,000. Thus, the benefits of Transjabodetabek for residents of Jakarta and its surroundings are quite high," added Pramono.
