JAKARTA - The South Jakarta Satpol PP has taken action against a number of liquor sellers (miras) from various brands in the Tebet and Kebayoran Baru Districts.

Head of South Jakarta Satpol PP Nanto Dwi Subekti said that the crackdown was carried out against the circulation of alcoholic beverages sold without a permit and in violation of applicable provisions.

"This operation is a crackdown on the circulation of alcoholic beverages sold without a license and in violation of applicable regulations," said Nanto in Jakarta, Antara, Sunday, March 8.

According to him, the operation was also carried out to maintain public order during the holy month of Ramadan.

In the operation in the Tebet District area, officers secured as many as 231 bottles of liquor from a number of locations.

The hundreds of bottles consist of various types and brands of alcoholic beverages.

"The confiscated inheritance includes 126 bottles of Fruit Wine, 24 bottles of Panther Stout, 12 bottles of Singaraja Bali Pale Ale, 48 cans of Rajawali Pros, 4 bottles of Tropical Naipa, 5 bottles of Somaek Soju Bombir, 6 bottles of Angker, and 6 bottles of Rajawali," said Nanto.

Meanwhile, in an operation in the Kebayoran Baru District area, officers also seized 93 bottles of liquor that were sold illegally.

The alcoholic beverages were found in a number of herbal shops located on Jalan Sunan Kalijaga, Melawai Village, as well as on Jalan Kubis, Pulo Village.

"In Kebayoran Baru we confiscated 93 bottles of liquor, including 45 bottles of Intisari and 45 bottles of Apidin, as well as several other bottles from various brands," said Nanto.

The officers then listed the business actors and made a seizure report for the evidence.

All the hundreds of bottles of liquor that were confiscated were then secured to the warehouse of the South Jakarta Satpol PP.

In addition to confiscating, Satpol PP also asked the store owner to make a written statement so that they do not sell alcoholic beverages without a permit.

Nanto emphasized that his party would continue to carry out periodic supervision to ensure that business actors comply with applicable rules.

"Business actors who are caught selling liquor without a permit are listed and asked to make a statement so that they do not repeat their actions," said Nanto.
