Spain rejects Iran war: Bombs can solve the world's problems are illusions

JAKARTA - Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has insisted he will not bow to pressure from the United States (US) by firmly rejecting calls for an attack on Iran.

Sanchez asked world leaders to recall the 2003 Iraq war, whose invasion was led by the US under the pretext of weapons of mass destruction, in fact, to this day there has never been any strong evidence.

"The world, Europe, and Spain have faced this critical moment before. In 2003, some irresponsible leaders dragged us into an illegal war in the Middle East that only brought insecurity and suffering," Sanchez said on his X account, Wednesday, February 4.

According to him, instead of bringing a mission of peace and prosperity, the impact of war actually creates a humanitarian crisis and even a long-term rebellion that plagues the community such as the US attack on Iraq.

Sanchez then gave a number of responses that should be done by world leaders, especially countries in Europe. The responses are as follows:

- Not for violations of international law.

- Reject the illusion that we can solve the world's problems with bombs.
