JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has revealed a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) that secured Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq in relation to the procurement of goods and services. One of them, related to outsourcing.

"The suspected criminal act of corruption in this case is related to the procurement of goods and services. One of them is related to the PBJ outsourcing in the Pekalongan Regency Government environment," said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday night, March 3.

"So this is suspected to be in several departments," he continued.

The involvement of outsourcing employees in several departments, said Budi, which made the team also secure dozens of people from Pekalongan Regency, Central Java. They were taken to the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta using the land route.

Meanwhile, Fadia Arafiq along with his confidants and aides had already been at the KPK office. The three people are undergoing intensive examination.

"Some of the parties who were brought to Jakarta, including those who were trusted by the Regent who were suspected of being involved in procurement in the Pekalongan Regency offices," said Budi.

"This means parties from the private sector. Including parties that organize the procurement of goods and services. This means that from the service, there is also the regent, there is also from the hospital," he said.

The KPK previously said that it also examined a number of parties in Pekalongan Regency, Central Java. Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq was taken by officers while in Semarang City, Central Java, with his confidants and aides.

Until now, the anti-corruption commission has not detailed the alleged corruption that led to the silent operation. However, it was mentioned that it was related to procurement.

The KPK has 1x24 hours to determine the legal status of the parties who were secured in the OTT. The announcement of the suspects and the construction of the case will be conveyed through a press conference.
