"The claim spread on social media about 'the US military base was attacked in Turkey' is not true. There is no military base in Turkey owned by any country," said a statement reported by ANTARA from Sputnik, Monday, March 2.

His party emphasized that the airspace, land, and sea, as well as Turkish military facilities, are fully under the control and sovereignty of the country.

"There was no attack on our country. The report made to portray Turkey as a party to the regional conflict is a blatant disinformation effort," he said.
