Police Chief ensures that Koko Erwin's drug case is held in NTB

MATARAM - Head of the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police, Inspector General Edy Murbowo, ensured that the judicial process of the drug case of suspected drug lord Koko Erwin, who was arrested on Thursday (26/2), was carried out in the NTB region.

"Yes, those who are related (Koko Erwin's drug case) must be here (NTB). If it is completed there (National Police Headquarters), it will definitely be investigated here as well," said Inspector General Edy, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, February 27.

At the arrest of Koko Erwin in Tanjung Balai, North Sumatra, who was reported to be about to cross into Malaysia, the NTB Police Chief expressed gratitude.

"Alhamdulillah. So, Friday is full of blessings, God approves of our efforts," he said.

The Police Chief also believes that the follow-up to the arrest of Koko Erwin, who is now being secured by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police in Jakarta, will be the basis for the development of the investigation through a series of examinations.

"Yes, we wait, later after the Criminal Investigation Unit conducts the follow-up, of course the Criminal Investigation Unit will also release the results. We wait," he said.

Likewise, the response of the NTB Police Chief regarding the flow of Rp1 billion funds from Koko Erwin to AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro through AKP Malaungi.

"Later we will see first. This is, later there will be from the NTB Police Narcotics Division, the Criminal Investigation Unit is still there (Jakarta). Later if it is related here (NTB), it can be here," he said.

The Directorate of Narcotics Crime (Dittipidnarkoba) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police previously confirmed that it had arrested suspected drug trafficker Koko Erwin in the person search list (DPO) status.

"It is true that DPO Erwin has been arrested by the Joint Team of Sub-Directorate IV and the NIC Task Force of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police," said the Director of Narcotics Crime (Dirtipidnarkoba) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Brigjen Pol. Eko Hadi Santoso in Jakarta.

Separately, the Head of the NIC Task Force of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Kombes Pol. Kevin Leleury, said Erwin was arrested in Tanjung Balai, North Sumatra, when he was about to cross into Malaysia on Thursday (26/2).

In the arrest process, officers also arrested two other suspected perpetrators, namely initials A alias Y and R alias K.

The two people, said Kevin, helped Erwin to escape to Malaysia to avoid being arrested by the police.

"Perpetrator A alias Y was arrested in Riau while R alias K was in Tanjung Balai with Erwin," he said.

The name Koko Erwin first appeared from a press conference held by AKP Malaungi's lawyer, Asmuni.

He said that his client in the examination report as a suspect in the case of circulation at the NTB Police Narcotics Investigation Directorate, had revealed all parties involved.
