Former Head of the Kepahiang Regency's Dikpora Becomes a Suspect in the Corruption of the Tebat Monok Bengkulu Terminal Asset

JAKARTA - The Prosecutor's Office has named the Head of the Education, Youth and Sports Office (Kepahiang Regency Government), 2010-2014, as a suspect in the case.

Idris was named a suspect in a corruption case over the reduction in the land assets of the Kepahiang Regency Government for Terminal B in Tebat Monok Village, Kepahiang District, with a state loss estimated at Rp. 600 million.

"We have conducted a series of witness examinations and examinations of a number of evidence so that today we have named one suspect with the initials ID," said Head of the Kepahiang District Prosecutor's Office Bagus Nur Jakfar Adi Saputro in Kepahiang Regency, Wednesday, quoted by Antara.

The application of the suspect was carried out based on the letter of determination of the suspect of the Kepahiang District Attorney's Office, NOMOR PRINT-134/L.7.18/Fd.2/02/2026 dated February 25, 2026.

For the role of the suspect, namely making all the administration for the fulfillment of completeness for the purpose so that it results in a lack of research on the land.

Bagus continued, the suspect was detained for the next 20 days at the Curup Class II A Prison in Rejang Lebong Regency to ensure that the suspect did not run away, did not destroy or destroy evidence, and did not repeat his actions.

As well as to secure the land assets owned by the Kepahiang Regency government, which are the object of the case, so that they are not transferred, transferred, or burdened with rights to other parties by the suspects or other related parties, so that they can still be used in the recovery and return of state financial losses.

"There must be development because currently there is still development of a number of witnesses and evidence obtained. Of course, not only this one, there are several more (suspects) who will be appointed," he explained.

Bagus continued, until now there are 55 pieces of evidence that have been seized and 30 witnesses have been examined including the National Land Agency (BPN) of Kepahiang Regency.

On the other hand, the Head of the Special Criminal Section (Pidsus) of the Kepahiang District Attorney's Office, Febrianto Ali Akbar, explained that based on the results of the examination there was a difference of 6,000 square meters but was reduced for the road.

However, his party will continue to conduct further examinations to reveal the corruption case.

Therefore, the suspect Idris was charged with Article 603 junto Article 20 letter a or c of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code junto Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of corruption crime junto Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the amendment of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of corruption crime and Article 604 junto Article 20 letter a or c of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code junto Article 18 of the Law.
