MATARAM - The West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police has summoned a head of a pesantren in the Praya Timur area, Central Lombok Regency as a suspect in a case of sexual violence (TPKS).
Director of Women and Children Protection and Eradication of Human Trafficking (Dirres PPA-PPO) of NTB Police, Kombes Ni Made Pujawati, said that this summons was the second agenda after the person concerned was absent due to illness.
"Because yesterday he was not present, we rescheduled for inspection," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 25.
Regarding the schedule for the examination of the suspect, whose initials are MTF, Pujawati chose not to reveal it to the public.
"Just wait for the date of the game," said Pujawati.
A similar response was also given regarding the detention measure. He emphasized that his party would carry out this step in accordance with the applicable legal procedures.
Dirres PPA-PPO Polda NTB previously on Friday (20/2), stated that the handling of this case was already in the investigation stage.
In this stage, the police strengthened the evidence from the examination of witnesses, victims from among the santriwati, including the alleged perpetrator who is the head of the pesantren.
Other efforts were made by visiting the boarding school for the needs of the scene of the crime (TKP) and conducting a visa for the victim.
Handling this case is a follow-up to the transfer from the Central Lombok Police. The report was made following a report from a victim who received legal assistance from the Mataram University Legal Consultation and Assistance Agency (BKBH).
BKBH Unram first received reports from three women. They claimed to have received sexual violence from the accused while still holding the status of santriwati at the pesantren.
BKBH Unram noted that there were more than three women who were victims. They came to BKBH Unram and claimed to be victims of the same perpetrator.
In the report of the first three victims received by the Unram BKBH in mid-January 2026, their desire to come to report was because they were furious when they heard the reported audio recording which was widely circulated through social media.
In the audio recording, one of the ustazah at the pesantren pondok was heard claiming to be a victim of intercourse from the perpetrator.
The reported response was also heard in the audio recording. He avoided the ustazah's confession and forced the victim to take the "Nyatoq" oath. In the Sasak tribe tradition, "Nyatoq" is like a pocong oath, the victim is asked to swear and if he lies he will experience misfortune.
BKBH Unram has collected evidence of the audio recording by also making it a complete piece of evidence at the police.
