Health Workers In Kudus Exposed To COVID-19 Increases To 196 People

KUDUS - Health workers in Kudus Regency, Central Java, who were exposed to COVID-19 increased to 196 people, including three officials at the health office.

"As of today (2/6) the number of health workers exposed to COVID-19 has indeed increased to 196 people, including the Head of the Kudus Health Service and his secretary as well as the Head of the Disease Prevention and Control Division who were also confirmed positive for COVID-19," said the daily executive of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling. Because there were health workers who died, he said, the number of active health workers who were positive for COVID-19 was reduced to 195 people.

Anticipatory steps so that COVID-19 does not spread are carried out by tracing close contacts. Incidentally, in the Kudus District Health Office, many cases were found.

The same thing was also done in a number of offices within the Kudus Regency Government by tracing close contacts with sufferers.

In offices that are known to have many cases, a policy was taken for a number of state civil servants (ASN) to work from home and sterilize offices by spraying them with disinfectant liquid.

"If previously it was found that ASN was still taking off masks in the office, then from now on it would be tightened again. If anyone took off their masks for no apparent reason, they would be given a firm warning because it is in the common interest," he said.

Spokesperson for the Task Force for the Acceleration of COVID-19 Handling in Kudus Regency Andini Aridewi added that of the 196 health workers who were exposed, 23 of them underwent treatment.

Previously the number of health workers exposed was 143 people, while 15 people were being treated. The health workers who were exposed to COVID-19 came from dozens of Puskesmas and some from hospitals, now increasing so that vigilance and strict adherence to health protocols are needed.
